This cam engages with the ratchet side one step at a time. When pulling the lever, there is little resistance and it can be pulled lightly. There is resistance when returning the lever, so the lever can be stopped and the derailleur can be positioned. (Caution) When tightening the crown screw, make sure that the oval-shaped projection on the back of the black resin washer is securely fitted into the oval hole of the shifter. If the resin washer is loose when tightening, the projection will break and the shifter will not be fixed. Cannot be with SRAM products.
